On Monday, April 24, 2017, the Chado demonstration was held at Da Vinci High School in Hawthorne City, CA. 28 Students participated in the event. After the brief introduction of the history of Chado and the spirit of “Wa Kei Sei Jaku” or “Harmony, Respect, Purity and Tranquility”, the students watched the demonstration and participated in the tea-whisking workshop. Everyone enjoyed a bowl of tea that they made by themselves. The students were well prepared for this event and they had lots of questions at the time of Q & A. All students seemed to have great time of experiencing a bit of Chado.
