MEMORIAL TEA GATHERING TO HONOR THE LIFE OF SEN RIKYU
Sen no Rikyū (1522 – April 21, 1591), also known simply as Rikyū, is considered the historical figure with the most profound influence on chanoyu, the Japanese “Way of Tea”, particularly the tradition of wabi-cha.
The program includes Hanayose (flower offering), followed by Ku-cha (tea offering to Rikyu) and Kagetsu (One of the several excrcises formulated for Chanoyu training) or lecture. At the end of the program, all participants will receive sweets and bowl of green tea.
